The stitches pulled at his cheek - Madam Pomfrey had said that it was a most unusual cut, but he hadn't let on how he had come by it. Healing charms had proved too slow, so she had to resort to a more Muggle way of dealing with it.

Two days later, the opportunity for revenge finally presented itself - Potter was sitting alone during prep, his only companion a steaming mug of tea by his left hand. It was almost too perfect!

Severus' accomplice caught his eye from the far end of the trestle table. She was ready.

Now... all he had to do was distract Potter...
